Monitoring
A monitoring survey may consist of a comparison of different measurements in which displacements in height and / or position is displayed in a table or drawing. Prior to possible influence (due to works carried out), there will be an initial assessment which is carried out twice and independently from each other and separately calculated. The relative accuracy between the two measurements can be calculated which guarantees this accuracy. At some point a repeated measurement can be carried out which supplies a comparison between all the measurements in an unequivocal manner and all the differences of the repeated measurements with the previous and initial ones can be presented. The last repeated measurement is also called the final measurement.
It is also possible to automatically monitor points with one or more robotic total stations. At preset time intervals repeated measurements are carried out, for example once per hour. This process can go on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All measured data can be made available online in table and graph presentations.
