Dredging maintenace operations were hampered due to strong interferance of the GPS signal.

Reliable uninterrupted reception of the GPS signal (L1 and L2) was not possible and consequently the Dredger was left without positioning. It was decided to install a conventional range range system that was still available within the company survey department. The AXYLE range-range system was succesfully installed and the project was completed, using this positioning system
